Stephanie Williams joined The Arc's Board of Directors in January of 2023. Stephanie is a DEI thought leader and practitioner with 12+ years of experience in leading organizational change and spearheading intuitional efforts around diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial justice. She joined Mount Wachusett Community College in April of 2022 in an inaugural role as the college’s first Chief Diversity Executive. As a Chief Executive, Ms. Williams is tasked with developing new approaches to strategic direction while providing visual leadership in institutionalizing the college’s commitment to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion.Prior to joining MWCC, Ms. Williams served as the Chief Diversity Officer for the City of Worcester. Her professional portfolio includes work in state and municipal government, higher education, as well as corporate America.She has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Anna Maria College where she also earned her Graduate Certificate in Marketing. Williams is a Certified Life Coach, Certified trainer with the National Center for Race Amity (NCRA), has a certificate in court mediation and is an alumni of the Social Justice Training Institute (SJTI). Her civic involvement includes serving on a variety of Boards and Committees within local and national organizations. She currently serves as a member of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE), the United Way Women’s Initiative Diversity Committee, Notre Dame Academy’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Taskforce, and is a Member Emerita with the Women’s Initiative Central Massachusetts.
